3. Complete the order process by paying with PayPal (if you do not wish to register with PayPal you can check out as a guest), or alternatively choose the pay on collection option.

We start taking orders from early September and start lifting and sending out stock in mid-late November.

Weather permitting we continue to take orders and despatch stock until early April.

We can continue to send out pot-grown and root trainer plants all year round.

It generally takes between 7 - 14 days for your order to be processed, lifted and packed. However, this sometimes has to be extended due to excessive demand, or because weather conditions do not permit lifting – i.e. excessive wet or cold.

As the season progresses, we can run out of the rarer species or some sizes, so we may not be able to supply exactly what you have ordered. However, we do our best to offer alternative species or sizes wherever possible.

With each order, bare-root plants are lifted, counted, tied in bundles of species and labelled for identification. They are then packed into suitable bags.

If your order is for pot grown plants, they are selected and packed in either clear bags or boxes.

We are happy to supply trees or hedging shrubs to anyone – in any quantity from 1 tree to 100,000 trees. However, we are set up as a wholesale nursery and plants always have to be ordered before they are collected. We are not a garden centre, so we are not always able to accommodate customers who call in “on the off-chance” you may not be able to take the trees or hedging away with you on the same day as they have to be lifted from the fields.

Collection of orders:

Once you have received an Order Confirmation, we ask you to contact us again to arrange to collect your order. Wherever possible we encourage customers to collect their orders directly from the Nursery.  Bare root plants will have lost their leaves by this time, so they take up relatively little room and smaller orders are generally easily packed into the boot of a car!

Delivery of orders:

If you are unable to collect your plants once they have been lifted and packed we can arrange for them to be despatched on an overnight service with a national carrier, this is to ensure that your plants are not left with the courier for too long. If you have ordered multiple plants we will despatch once the whole order is ready.
