Tree Health

With increasing world trade comes the increased risk of pests and diseases being introduced to the UK.

The plant passport system within the EC provides a means of allowing free movement of plants within the EC by providing each batch of plants with a “passport” to show from which nursery they originated.

We are inspected by FERA twice each year to ensure our plants are free of notfiable pests and diseases. We regularly check our stock for symptons of diseases such as Red band neddle blight, Fire blight and Phytophera.

We then label each batch of plants with our plant passport number. This allows you to take plants into EC countries.
