How to Order
- Choose the plants you need. Click here to go to the Catalogue and Price List page.
- Submit an order by web form, fax or post. Click here to go to the Order Form page.
- Once we recieve an Order Form we will then process your order and send you an Order Confirmation.
- Arrange collection or delivery and payment.
Schedule:
We start taking orders from early September, and start lifting and sending out stock in early November.
Weather permitting we continue to take orders and despatch stock until early April.
We can continue to send out pot grown and root trainer plants from the end of March until Early August
Once you have received an Order Confirmation, we ask you to contact us again to arrange to collect your order. Wherever possible we encourage customers to collect their orders direct from the Nursery.
It generally takes between 10 – 14 days for your order to be processed, lifted and available to collect. However, this sometimes has to be extended
due to excessive demand, or because weather conditions do not permit lifting – i.e. excessive wet or cold.
As the season progresses, we can run out of the rarer species or some sizes, so we may not be able to supply exactly what you have ordered. However, we do our best to offer alternative species or sizes wherever possible.
With each order, the plants are lifted with bare-roots, counted, tied in species and labelled for identification. They are then packed into suitable
bags ready for collection. (As the plants have lost their leaves by this time, they take up relatively little room and are generally easily packed
into the boot of a car!)
We are happy to supply trees or hedging shrubs to anyone – in any quantity from 1 tree to 100,000 trees. However, we
are set up as a wholesale nursery and plants always have to be ordered before they are collected. We are NOT a garden centre, so please do not
expect to be able to call in “on the off-chance” and be able to take trees or hedging away with you!
If you are unable to collect your plants we can arrange for them to be despatched on a next-day service with a National Carrier.
Our minimum carriage charge is £17.00 + VAT throughout the UK mainland. It is calculated by weight and the carriage cost will be confirmed by us on your Order Confirmation.
Larger orders (5,000 plus) can be delivered within the South West by our own transport. This delivery charge will depend on a number of factors
but is generally between £20.00 – £50.00 plus VAT.
For delivery of larger orders outside the South West Peninsula, please ask for a quotation.
Please do not send any payment with your order form.
For orders being collected from the nursery – Payment is in full on collection. Payment can be made either by Debit or Credit card, cheque (with relevant
card) or cash.
For orders being despatched on a next-day carrier. Payment is due in full before despatch. Payment can either be by Debit or Credit card by phone, or by cheque by post.
Payment of larger orders (5,000 plus) delivered with our own transport: Payment is due in full on delivery.
Payment of existing wholesale customers: If you are an existing wholesale customer/contractor then your payment terms will continue with us as in the past.
